The Race That Shocked the World


Documentary about the dramatic men's 100m final at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, with all eight athletes who took part recalling how they came to compete in the event and revealing what has happened to them since. Just 48 hours after being crowned victor, Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson was found guilty of taking banned substances and stripped of his gold medal, and in the intervening years many of the other competitors have been implicated in drug scandals.
