Prisoners of War

Prisoners of War

Series 1 - Episode 4

Just how broken the two former captives are is made plain as Uri reads a stack of letters written during his years of captivity by his now late mother and Nimrode watches DVDs of happy family events in which he doesn’t feature.

Both sequences are affecting and heartbreaking, but one man definitely not convinced is Haim Cohen, whose disarming Lieutenant Columbo façade is now getting him results.

Cohen is a tenacious operator who will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of the discrepancies in the men’s statement — one tactic in particular will leave you gasping at how emotionally manipulative he can be.

Cohen surprises Nimrode at home and questions him about his time in captivity - prompting an upsetting flashback. Uri continues to ignore Nurit's calls and pays a visit to his mother's grave, but receives a surprise when an attractive woman introduces herself to him. In Hebrew.
