Review

You’ll know the score by now: a blitz of CGI and theory presented as fact. This British/Canadian co-production verges on astonishing, though, as we witness the cataclysm that saw off the giant reptiles 65 million years ago. T rex, alamosaurus, triceratops and quetzacoatlus are going about their daily business of eating, mating and fighting when a meteorite hits Earth at 70,000km per hour. Their paradise becomes a living hell, which only humbler life-forms (fish, insects and burrowing mammals) survive.

Summary

An attempt to reconstruct the last days before the extinction of the creatures, using geology and palaeontology to try to find out what happened.
