Review

This loved-up compo for Valentine’s Day has some guessable content: I Got You Babe, Kenny and Dolly… but fab surprises, too. There’s silky-haired Cilla Black with an equally lustrous Phil Everly; Leonard Cohen before his voice became a gravel pit crooning with Julie Felix; and a sweet country ditty from Barbara Fairchild with Don Williams in his Arthur from On the Buses period.

Other couples with chemistry include Neil Diamond in his jump-suited pomp serenading Shirley Bassey, and if Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge were standing any closer to each other, they’d be one person. Get a room.

Summary

Among the collaborations are Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue, Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush, Shirley Bassey and Neil Diamond, Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge, and Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.
