Documentary charting the life of Austrian-born concert pianist Paul Wittgenstein, who learned to play one-handed after having his right arm amputated during the First World War. His efforts were celebrated as a triumphant overcoming of adversity and Benjamin Britten, Sergei Prokofiev, Maurice Ravel, Erich Wolfgang Korngold and Richard Strauss all agreed to write pieces for him to perform.
