Mark Allen v Judd Trump. Hazel Irvine presents coverage of the opening session of the final at the Barbican Centre in York, where eight frames are scheduled to take place. Mark Williams enhanced his chances of winning the title for the first time since 2002 by opening up a 6-2 lead over John Higgins in last year's final, including an 85 in the eighth frame which was the highest break of the session. With commentary and analysis by Steve Davis, John Parrott and Dennis Taylor.
