Kirstie and Phil are very experienced at finding perfect homes for picky couples. And, of course, the more difficult the buyers, the more entertaining the show. Watching a couple who are itching to have a blazing row but daren’t in front of the TV cameras is as pleasurable as the vicarious thrill of pretending the gorgeous country barn they’re viewing could be ours.
But even calm, clear-headed Phil may have met his match in Geoff and Sharon. Not only do these two have very different tastes in houses, but the new property also has to please their children and Sharon’s mum, who’s coming to live with them in Torquay.
Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer head to Devon, where they help local newlyweds Sam and Jamie, who are looking to start afresh in a new home and put a difficult two years behind them. Plus, Sharon wants to move to Torquay with husband Geoff, as well as her children and mother, but the couple have never viewed a house together and it soon becomes apparent the property experts will have a tough time persuading them to agree on a new home.
