Review

This wharfs-and-all profile of Brixham in Devon is the first British factual programme for Sky Atlantic. The ten-part cod-umentary will go behind the trawl nets and gaff hooks of one of the UK’s oldest fishing ports to meet the characters who shape it. The opener catches the mood in the rejuvenated town as it prepares for Princess Anne to open the new £20 million fish market.

With a bulging net of human stories, Fish Town could snag the public imagination - just as Trawlermen did for the BBC.

Summary

Life in the Devon fishing port of Brixham. Spring is in the air, and the town is a hive of activity as skippers return their pleasure yachts to the water after winter in the dry dock, while the pressure is on for Brixham to look its best for the arrival of Princess Anne, who will officially open the new £20million fish market, and the start of the summer season.
