The making of the 1975 album Wish You Were Here is the stuff of pop-doc legend. Pink Floyd's near-collapse, their grief over drug-addled former frontman Syd Barrett and the channelling of their vitriol about the music industry are the subject of this exemplary film, first shown on BBC4.
Waters and Gilmour talk touchingly of their ravaged comrade, whose reappearance in the studio towards the end of the recording made them weep.
Documentary telling the story behind the making of Pink Floyd's landmark 1975 album Wish You Were Here, featuring interviews with Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason.
