Review

Performing in a circus may sound glamorous but as 17-year-old Brandon says, “Your hands are never clean, there’s always something to do - sometimes three shows a day - and you’re absolutely knackered by the end of it.” And yet he credits the circus with changing his self-confessed bad attitude forever.

One upside of circus life is shared childcare – it’s like having a giant family who look out for each other. But it’s not always like that. The parents of Lewis, a cute eight-year-old who comes from a long line of clowns, are separated so he splits his time between two circuses. He has attended 52 different schools.

An eight-year-old makes his debut as a clown alongside his dad, although there's bad news - he may soon have to leave the big top to attend school. Meanwhile, another youngster works behind the scenes at his family's 200-year-old travelling circus. Last in the series.
