The explorer travels to Qaanaaq, an Inuit town in the far north of Greenland, where he learns some of the skills that have enabled the native people to survive amid the harsh wilderness, including dog-sled driving and extracting water from sea ice. Hunting also remains a key part of life for the community, with supermarket prices for some staple foods set at 50 per cent more than in mainland Europe - but Bruce discovers the impact of global warming could lead to this traditional way of life dying out entirely.
