Yorkshire Wolds Way with Paul Rose

Yorkshire Wolds Way with Paul Rose

Series 1

There’s no television presenter in the world as gung-ho and enthusiastic as Paul Rose. He enjoys everything with a big beaming smile, including gliding with the Wolds Gliding Club. Though it looks terrifying, like he’s in a greenhouse in the sky, he has a wonderful time. “That’s what I call uplifting!” grins the shamelessly punning Rose.

In the final leg of his journey along this little-known but very pretty National Trail he makes pit stops in villages such as Thixendale, where two lifelong residents share their delight at living somewhere so lovely, even though the television signal can be rubbish. He ends his walk in the seaside resort of Filey.

Part two of two. Adventurer Paul Rose concludes his exploration of the 79-mile Yorkshire Wolds Way, taking to the skies to get a unique view of its stretch of chalk downland. He also receives a special invitation to a military base that has been keeping the nation safe since the start of the Second World War.
