Michael Portillo continues his journey across Ireland, travelling from Navan to Mullingar. Along the way, he gets up to speed with modern archaeology in County Meath, where he uncovers a controversial Victorian dig at the sacred Hill of Tara. Later, he investigates leaping salmon in Leixslip, and in Mullingar, bangs the drum for the town's traditional marching band.
