Back for more blokey banter, Freddie Flintoff teams up with his Lord of the Fries helpmate Rob Penn to take a tilt at the Aussies and their great barbecuing tradition. Freddie reckons on showing them how it’s done – a spectacular piece of sledging.
But as Jim Carter’s irreverent voiceover explains, this “paper-thin premise” is an excuse to travel around Australia, seeing the sights that make it one of the best places in the world “outside of Preston”. Freddie and Rob are an engagingly odd couple and Freddie’s blunt line of questioning – “Why do you live here?” – seems to win over the outback ranchers they meet in this episode.
Former cricketer Andrew Flintoff and his friend Rob Penn set off in their custom-made food truck along the east coast of Australia on an epic barbecue adventure.
