Seven celebrities who admit to terrible diets succumb to a few weeks of hard farm labour and a completely sugar-free regime (so no white carbs or fruit, let alone chocolate). Some are clinically obese (the dad from Stavros Flatley is five stone overweight), while others look relatively fit and healthy.
But it only takes 24 hours for the irritability to kick in – although for TOWIE’s Gemma Collins that may be because she’s averse to hard work (“You’re here to work, not mess about,” the farmer snaps). For Ann Widdecombe it’s possibly because she can’t stomach the daily vegetable smoothie (“It’s like licking an allotment!”). However, the biggest shock is the identity of the celebrity who is forlornly carted off by paramedics on the second day suffering from sugar withdrawal.
Seven celebrities submit to a diet free from sugar, refined carbs, processed fats and cheap meat. From the moment they take up residence in a farmworkers' cottage, they're put to work to earn all the healthy food they eat. TV presenter Alison Hammond cooks from scratch with natural ingredients, comedian Joe Pasquale discovers an aptitude for pig husbandry, and ex MP Ann Widdecombe overcomes an aversion to whole grains. However, while Peter Davison, Stavros Flatley are also put through their paces, reality star Gemma Collins has trouble handling the farm work.
