is the hot hatchback of dramas. Not big and flashy, but in terms of emotional oomph, it starts with a new story each week and sweeps from 0 to 60 in short order. Tonight we also have the nearest the series gets to stunt casting with a great cameo from Griff Rhys Jones.
We’re immersed in the domestic drama of Caz and Fletch (Elen Rhys and Matt Di Angelo). She works in customer service, he’s in the warehouse; they’re married and trying for a baby. In a loving gesture that backfires, Caz gets in touch with Fletch’s estranged father (Rhys Jones), and from there some brilliantly observed (and acted) scenes of family crisis grab us and won’t let go.
Caz and Fletch are a happy couple who are comfortable with their daily routine at work and at home. However, when his mother is suddenly taken ill and ends up in hospital in a critical condition, their lives are turned upside down. In a moment of desperation, Caz decides to get in touch with Fletch's estranged father, Patrick. However, unbeknown to the couple, he has a new life and family. Meanwhile, Ally and Kim find themselves consoling Ash at hospital. Drama, starring Matt Di Angelo, Elen Rhys, and Griff Rhys Jones.
