Remember the days when nobody had a beard apart from Noel Edmonds and Kings of Leon? Yep, those Nashville boys sure made their mark on men's fashion, not to mention selling millions of LPs. Tonight they're in town to promote their first album since 2013. Noel, sadly, won't be appearing, so we'll have to make do with Jack White and Sting instead.
M83 (aka Anthony Gonzalez), meanwhile, drops in as he continues his journey from indie shoegazer to disco overlord. Hopefully he'll play his recent single Go!, one of the most infectious chunks of electro-pop in years.
And she might not yet be a household name, but search Google for Banks and, top of the list, ahead of any financial institutions, you'll get the singer from Orange County, California, who also features tonight. Does that make her the most powerful woman in the world?
New series. Nashville's Kings of Leon present material from Walls, their first new album in three years, and Jack White makes his solo acoustic debut re-interpreting songs from his back catalogue. Sting performs from 57th & 9th, his 13th solo work, the dark R'n'B of Banks, who is about to release her second album The Altar, and Anthony Gonzalez's band M83, with the '80s-inflected disco dream pop of seventh album junk.
