Episode 49: EastEnders

Review

We seem to be on a go-slow at the moment, with plotlines revolving around living arrangements. This is always a problem on soaps because it never rings true when characters are forced to move house. Belongings are always packed up in 15 minutes flat and nobody ever feels the need to use a van. But at least, on this occasion, Stacey is fretting about upfront costs. Usually, everyone in Albert Square is blessed with a bottomless back pocket that can provide a wodge of banknotes when needed.

Amid all this, though, we have a promising new story for Dot, who gets an alarming call from her employers. Life may never be the same again…
