Review

Everyone in Victoria’s circle is keen to get the flighty young queen married off asap, which results in a parade of uber-toff stuffed shirts jostling for her attention.

Even the rude mechanicals downstairs are taking squalid bets on who she’ll become engaged to. But her heart really lies with hot sex god Prime Minister Lord Melbourne (Rufus Sewell). Poor Victoria (Jenna Coleman) decides to declare herself and risk embarrassment as he sits in his garden, brooding handsomely in a lovely green coat.

But who’s this Albert everyone is talking about? This supposed “most correct young man?” Who’s that walking down yet another corridor? Could it be… yes it could! Good, three episodes in and Victoria needs passion!

Summary

King Leopold suggests to Victoria that she consider Prince Albert as a possible consort, a development that results in the young queen being surrounded by suitors seeking her hand in marriage, The young queen remains determined to rule alone, a declaration that leaves her uncle suspicious about her relationship with Melbourne.
