The Joy of Stats

The Joy of Stats

Karolinska Institute professor Hans Roslin presents a light-hearted exploration of the world of statistics, looking into their history and how they work mathematically. He also examines modern examples of the use of numerical data, including the San Francisco police department's street-by-street crime map, and Google's translation project that does not require linguists. With contributions by data designer David McCandless, website founder Sep Kamvar and Cambridge professor David Spiegelhalter.
