Lovers of locked-room mysteries and anything involving potential murder victims stranded by snow will love this highly entertaining, delightfully old-fashioned ten-part Icelandic thriller.
As a huge Danish ferry docks in a small Icelandic port, a dismembered torso is caught in a boat’s fishing nets. A brutal snowstorm quickly closes in, stranding the ferry and its passengers, closing the town’s only mountain pass and0 emptying schools and public buildings. Everyone is now trapped with a murderer.
There is, of course, a decent local cop with a difficult personal life, the burly Andri, who’s worried about a visit from his ex-wife and her new boyfriend. But, as horizontal blizzards exfoliate the bleak landscape, almost blotting out the light, his worries become much sharper. Because it’s hard to spot a murderer in a snowstorm…
Terrible secrets are unearthed in an isolated Icelandic town when the body of an unidentified man is discovered in a fjord. As the hunt for the culprit begins, the town is engulfed by a blizzard, cutting the residents - and potentially the killer - off from the rest of the world. Icelandic crime drama, starring Ólafur Darri Ólafsson. In Icelandic, Danish and English.
