Richard Osman’s excited about this line-up because they’re all sportsmen and sportswomen and he reckons they are always super-competitive. He may be right, but none of them likes the first round (connecting surnames to 1990s pop groups) and several throw in the towel. “It’s a very good wrong answer,” a consoling Richard tells one of the 100-point scorers.
Among those taking part are Tony Jacklin, Willie Thorne, Andy Fordham and Martin Offiah, who won last time he was on the show. Back then he was paired with Phil Tufnell so if he goes out early, he says it’ll be the fault of new partner Nick Easter.
A sporting-themed edition of the show, featuring snooker commentator Willie Thorne and former golfer Tony Jacklin, darts stars Andy Fordham and Deta Hedman, ex-athletes Tessa Sanderson and Derek Redmond, and rugby union international Nick Easter and former rugby winger Martin Offiah. Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman present.
