Review

If there’s one thing that’s sure to get the waterworks going it’s puppies in peril, and Paul encounters his fair share of them at Battersea. Eighteen-month-old Flower comes in heavily pregnant and gives birth in the dark of the night. Meanwhile siblings Otto and Dinky, the sole survivors of a litter of nine, get ready for their first vaccinations.

Elsewhere, husky cross Diamond struggles to get used to life outside a cage after being kept in one for up to 17 hours a day. Can she overcome her anxiety to find a loving home?

Summary

Abandoned Yorkshire terrier Flower is brought in just days before she is due to give birth, but disaster strikes during the delivery when the new mum accidentally squashes one of her puppies, leaving Paul facing a worrying wait to check on its progress. He also meets husky-cross Diamond, who has spent most of her life locked in a cage, as a result of which she often uses her bed as a toilet, and he gets his hands on boxer pups Otto and Dinky, who are due to have their vaccinations. The only trouble is, they don't like the look of the needle.
