Review

Three different breeds of dog with very different leg problems are brought into “bionic” vet Noel Fitzpatrick’s practice. Thirteen-week-old pomeranian Gucci has fractured her paw; Otto the German shepherd has a cancerous bone that’s replaced with what looks like part of a Meccano set; and Elvis the rottweiler puppy has a spinal injury that’s affecting his ability to walk.

There are tears, desperate looks from owners clinging on to any hope of recovery and the amusing sight of a puppy in a nappy. But it’s amazing the things this man can do. And he’s quite a character, to boot.

Summary

Kevin and Natalie discover their beloved six-year-old German shepherd has a tumour. In desperation, they turn to Noel Fitzpatrick in the hope he can find a way to prolong Otto's life until their wedding day. The team also sees Jane, Simon and their Rottweiler puppy Elvis, who is having trouble walking, and seven-week-old Pomeranian Gucci, brought in with a broken paw by Amber and her two children after only 48 hours in her new home.
