Review

At the start of the seaside food show, guest Michael Sheen tells Jamie and Jimmy about his great-great-grandmother, a circus lion tamer. He tells how a lion once mauled her, taking off her left breast, and the claw of that lion is to this day on a chain in Sheen’s house in LA.

It’s quite a tale to kick off another rich feast of ideas and recipes. Sheen cooks up a cawl, the classic Welsh lamb stew. Jimmy constructs a crispy duck oven. And the boys campaign for nose-to-tail fish eating to replace our mania for fillets. If you want to beat the rush, order your ray cheeks and monkfish livers now.

Summary

Actor Michael Sheen returns to his Welsh roots as he prepares lamb cawl, Jamie Oliver impresses the diners with pork belly and beef brisket chilli, and Jimmy Doherty builds a DIY oven to produce crispy Peking duck. The boys also head to the beach for a look at Southend's fishing industry.
