Review

Cambridge’s annual shindig took place last weekend, so there’s been time for Sky Arts to hone a couple of luxurious highlights packages, fronted by Mark Radcliffe and Julie Fowlis – the second instalment is tomorrow at 9pm.

Those who couldn’t get tickets to an event that’s been a sell-out for 23 consecutive years can enjoy headliners who have played Cambridge before, but not for a while: KT Tunstall returns after three years away, mostly spent reinventing herself in the US, while Christy Moore appears here roughly once per decade. Irish rockabilly queen Imelda May and thrilling “gypsy punk” band Gogol Bordello up the tempo – for purists there’s the gentle clarity of Kate Rusby.

Summary
