Episode 44: EastEnders
Review
With nobody on the Square having given him a second thought since he was wrongly banged up last October, it’s now the day of Max Branning’s court hearing. Hopefully, his inevitable release will pave the way for an online BBC3 spin-off called Bobby Beale’s Borstal Days, a ten-part reimagining of Scum for the WhatsApp Generation.
Elsewhere, Bex – who you feel wouldn’t recognise a devious teen if she was batted around the face with a DVD copy of Mean Girls – finds herself manipulated by the permanently arched-eyebrowed Louise, who tells her to treat Shakil mean to keep him keen. All the while plotting to nab him herself, of course.
