Review

Series two of this surprisingly watchable show where celebrities compile me-too observations about the eternal awkwardness of being a Brit. Tonight we’re at school, where nicknames earned on day one stick for ever, sex education is a giggly fiasco and forgetting your PE kit is the worst thing that can possibly happen.

Then it’s on to a discussion of British people’s unique approach to alcohol consumption. The calibre of the contributors is what makes it fly: David Tennant, James Corden, Rebecca Front, Reeves and Mortimer, Stephen Mangan and Danny Dyer all know how to make fairly basic material sing. Bob Mortimer’s memories of mould are particularly poignant.

Summary

Celebrities including James Corden, Jack Whitehall, David Tennant and Catherine Tate offer their observations on Brits at school. Topics up for discussion include sex education classes, the horror of mouldy PE kits, and how the UK became a nation of binge drinkers. Julie Walters narrates.
