If you come out of Britain’s Got Talent in need of more undemanding entertainment, this (loosely) sports-themed panel show does the job. Holly Willoughby is like a primary-school teacher struggling to keep a class of nine-year-olds in order, with class joker Bradley Walsh constantly clashing with school captain Richard Osman.
The two have a long and enjoyable trash-talking session at the start over who rules tea-time TV (it’s The Chase v Pointless) and it spirals downhill from there. At one stage Willoughby has to hurl her cue cards at Walsh – and impressively, she’s on target. Other incidental pleasures? A clip of sumo wrestlers running the 100m.
Holly Willoughby returns with the sports-themed comedy panel show, challenging returning team captains Frank Lampard and Bradley Walsh to demonstrate their grasp of topical trivia and physical fitness, with the help of regular panellist Romesh Ranganathan and score-keeper Seann Walsh. The first edition sees Pointless co-host Richard Osman, Olympic diver Tom Daley and comedian Rob Beckett joining the panel.
