Stupidly, childishly, wonderfully entertaining as ever tonight, but boy, the first “board” of clues on the show is a daft one. Richard Osman seems almost embarrassed by the herbivores that need identifying (an animal with a long trunk whose name begins with E?). Basically six blindingly obvious answers and an impossible one.
Among the celebs wrestling with these and other posers are “comedian and fantasy dancer” Bob Mortimer, Graeme (The Goodies) Garden and Ian Lavender (Pike) from Dad’s Army. Along the way we learn about some obscure musicals and the formal Latin name for the gorilla – it’s gorilla gorilla.
Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman return with another round of celebrity-themed editions of the general knowledge quiz. This time, they invite four teams of comedy stars to take part, challenging them to come up with the least likely correct answers to a selection of questions posed to members of the public. The teams are Simon Day and Paul Chowdhry, Emily Atack and Ian Lavender, Kerry Godliman and Graeme Garden, and Steve Pemberton and Bob Mortimer.
