Review

The beloved student comedy bows out tonight. We can hope one day we might see teetering posho JP (Jack Whitehall) in a sequel, but if not, the send-off he gets here feels perfectly judged. I won’t spoil his choice of career path but it has the awful ring of truth about it.

As we rejoin the housemates their degree results are about to go up: “The clock has just struck reality,” intones Howard who, it turns out, has been harbouring a ridiculous secret through his undergraduate years.

Meanwhile, Kingsley and Vod need to make their “Vodstock” graduation party happen because 1,000 students are expecting “Burning Man meets Cirque du Soleil meets Countryfile meets the Haj”.

“I don’t want it to be over,” mews Josie, but it is.

Summary

In the last-ever episode of the comedy, the housemates' finals are over and most of them are enjoying their freedom as they wait to find out how they have fared - but not everyone is happy with the results. There are revelations galore on graduation day, but will they be hosting the ultimate alternative ball or will they have to flee Manchester under cover of darkness? Luckily, Vod has an idea on how to have the best party ever. Starring Zawe Ashton, Joe Thomas, Greg McHugh, Charlotte Ritchie, Jack Whitehall and Kimberley Nixon. Last in the series.
