After a recent slump, we’re back on track with a pacey case that serves up bio-terrorism, more threat from Wo Fat, plus a nicely timed cliffhanger that sets things up for the season finale. The only downside is that Danny gets poisoned with sarin in the pre-titles sequence, which means that Five-O’s most likeable character spends the hour sidelined in a hospital watching SpongeBob SquarePants with his daughter.
While he recuperates, we get Kono using a dustbin lid as a weapon and Steve proving that he’s able to remember the number plates of speeding cars even when he’s diving out of their way. Also of note are the lowlife hoods who all sport ponytails worthy of Steven Seagal. Perhaps they watch Channel 5 in their spare time for inspiration.
McGarrett and the team believe they are closing in on Wo Fat with the help of information provided by Agent Jenna Kaye. Unfortunately, Danny is exposed to a lethal neurological agent during a raid, raising fears that someone on the island may be preparing a bioterrorist attack.
