John Inverdale is at the All England Club to look back at the key moments on day two of the third Grand Slam tournament of the year, with the first-round matches set to reach a conclusion, including Serena Williams v Anna Tatishvili, Paolo Lorenzi v Roger Federer and Samantha Murray v Maria Sharapova. Dry weather conditions are particularly desirable at this stage given the number of fixtures scheduled to take place, and the organisers will be hoping for similar luck to last year, although they will also be keen to avoid a repetition of the large number of players who withdrew through injury in the early stages of the tournament. Marion Bartoli's absence this year meant a break from the tradition of the defending ladies' champion opening proceedings on Centre Court, but the combination of several of the world's finest, along with a smattering of British talent will have been enough to keep the attention long into the evening.
