It’s not often Gordon Ramsay is upstaged as the pantomime villain, but this year’s edition of pro-celebrity kickabout Soccer Aid could be different. Yes, none other than Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is managing the Rest of the World. Don’t expect him to take kindly to exhausted expletives from the celebrity chef.

Celebrities including Dominic Cooper, John Bishop and James McAvoy live out their games console dreams alongside the likes of Teddy Sheringham and Clarence Seedorf. The pick of the pros has to be Italian legend Alessandro del Piero.

Dermot O'Leary presents the pre-match build-up and the big game in aid of Unicef, which sees footballing heroes team up with celebrities for an England v Rest of the World match live from Old Trafford (Kick-off 8.00pm). Robbie Williams captains the England team, managed by Sam Allardyce and featuring former professionals such as David Seaman, Teddy Sheringham and Jamie Redknapp, plus stars including Jack Whitehall, Mark Owen, Olly Murs, Paddy McGuinness and John Bishop. Jose Mourinho manages the opposing side, which calls upon the talents of Alessandro Del Piero, Andriy Shevchenko and other pros, lining up with captain Michael Sheen and a squad featuring Gordon Ramsay, James McAvoy, Patrick Kielty, Jeremy Renner, Kevin Bridges and Sam Worthington. Kirsty Gallacher is pitchside with the players.
