Historian Ellwood von Seibold commemorates the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings by taking a tour of the beaches and battlefields of Normandy, where so many of the Allied troops lost their lives in an effort to liberate Nazi-occupied Western Europe. The presenter also tells the stories of some of the men who took part in the seabourne invasion, as he drives his 1943 Dodge Command car to sites such as Sainte-Mere-Eglise and La Pointe du Hoc.
