The art historian takes an in-depth look at the life and career of 19th-century French sculptor Auguste Rodin, who rose from humble beginnings to become an artist often cited as one of the founders of modern art. During the course of his life, he overcame the ravages of the Franco-Prussian War and the upheaval of a move to Brussels to produce masterpieces including The Kiss and The Thinker.
