Extreme Fishing with Robson Green: At the Ends of the Earth

Series 1 - Episode 2 Patagonia

The excitable Robson Green takes his angling odyssey to the middle of Norway. Except no, that’s his way of pronouncing the middle of nowhere. It’s actually Patagonia he’s travelling to. But first we get the tail end, as it were, of his adventures in Ascension Island, where he tries spear fishing with a James Bond-style harpoon.

“Hoo-hoo-hoo! What a shot!” he whoops, as a 22lb dog snapper meets its maker. “Oh my God! Look at that fish!” he roars as a gigantic yellowfin tuna breathes its last. His enthusiasm is irresistible: he sings, he cavorts in the nude, he hugs his local guides and mugs at the camera. Just go with it. David Butcher

Robson Green continues his journey in Patagonia, where he is on a mission to fish in the southernmost city in the world - Ushuaia. He also hopes to catch a chinook salmon in Torres del Paine and deals with foul-smelling bait when he joins a team of commercial fishermen to hunt for a centolla crab.
