Episode 1277 Herefordshire

John Craven and Anita Rani take a trip to Herefordshire to explore the county's increasingly prominent foodie culture. Farmer Simon Cutter introduces John to his pure-bred Hereford cattle, chosen for their meat quality and grazing ability, as well as showing him the restoration work undertaken in his wildflower meadows. Anita explores the power to be found in flowers, and meets the botanist extracting natural goodness from his fields, before helping to harvest a crop of blackcurrants - and the pair later reward themselves with a new take on the traditional pork pie. Adam Henson heads to Shropshire to meet the farmer providing a taste of South America with his quinoa plants, while Tom Heap investigates the impact of gas to cull badgers in the battle against bovine TB.
