Episode 1276 Northern Ireland

As a result of a viewer suggestion, John Craven and Shauna Lowry visit the Sperrin Mountains in Northern Ireland, a largely unknown but beautiful part of the region. Exploring the area by foot, Shauna heads to an old blacksmith's forge that was made famous by its inclusion in a Seamus Heaney poem. Meanwhile, John uncovers the relationship between an endangered species and a fish that is only found in the region. The presenters also visit Strangford Lough and pan for gold on the Ballinderry river. James Wong has the latest from the Grow Wild campaign, and Adam is joined by Dr James Logan to explore the world of one of nature's biggest pests - ticks. Tom Heap also asks whether the latest influx of `garden cities' can provide the perfect blend between town and country.
