Overview
Billie Piper stars as Sally, a teenager in 19th-century England who investigates her father's death in this first story from Philip Pullman's quartet of Sally Lockhart novels. Fighting Victorian prejudices against women, she becomes an independent businesswoman, making friends - and enemies - along the way.
