The Office
Overview
Observational comedy series that took a well-aimed swat at the fly-on-the-wall documentary format. The minute the film crew arrive at Slough paper merchant's Wernham Hogg, manager David Brent is determined to hog the limelight. He's convinced he's a man of the people, a gifted entertainer and comedian - but his long-suffering employees (and his unimpressed bosses) aren't so sure. Meanwhile, the cameras capture Tim and Dawn's fledgling romance, deputy manager Gareth's attempts to run the place like his beloved territorial army, and the bullying tactics of Chris Finch.
