Hiding from Jordan, Dr Cox shares a luxury hospital suite with the Janitor, but the roommates soon turn on one another. Meanwhile, Carla's still in denial over her postnatal depression and Turk has his work cut out convincing her to seek help.

RT Choice (Claire Webb, 26 July 2007)

It takes guts to tackle postnatal depression in a half-hour sitcom, but "the Turks" carry it off with surprising aplomb.

  • Episode 6/22 My Musical

Scrubs Series six My Musical © FOXAn all-singing, all-dancing episode kicks off with the arrival of Patti (Avenue Q star Stephanie D'Abruzzo), a patient who complains of hearing incessant music. As the residents of Sacred Heart attempt to determine the cause of this unusual malady, they find themselves taking part in a musical of their own. Carla and Turk dance around the issue of her return to work, while Elliot tries to find a way to tell JD to move out.

RT Choice (Claire Webb, 2 August 2007)

Sacred Heart hospital scales new heights of wackiness in [this] all-singing, all-dancing medical musical.

  • Episode 7/22 His Story IV

As we're treated to another insight into the life of Dr Kelso, the staff are questioning his commitment to the hospital. But an encounter with Private Brian Dancer (Michael Weston), a casualty of the war in Iraq, reminds the chief of medicine what it means to be a good leader. Meanwhile, Dancer's presence in the hospital sparks a heated political debate - which leaves the patient himself neglected.

RT Choice (Claire Webb, 9 August 2007)

Post-natal depression, medical musicals - what next for the chameleonic sixth series? The war in Iraq, of course, treated with the usual cheekiness. If you prefer gags to politics, there's also the chance to view the world from the perspective of cupcake-loving Dr Kelso. It's quite scary.

  • Episode 8/22 My Road to Nowhere

An impromptu road trip ensues when Turk convinces JD that Kim should travel to Tacoma for her first ultrasound scan. Commandeering Kelso's new RV, the trio are joined by Carla, Elliot, Keith, Ted and the Janitor. Meanwhile, Dr Cox and Jordan have a more arduous journey ahead of them - Jordan's own ultrasound scan has revealed that their unborn baby will require surgery.

  • Episode 9/22 My Perspective

JD could lose everything - his apartment, his girlfriend and consciousness - after being diagnosed with vasovagal syncope, a condition that results in sudden blackouts. The Janitor, meanwhile, is off on a cruise - or is he?

  • Episode 10/22 My Therapeutic Month

JD falls for Sacred Heart's sexy new physical therapist, but asking her out is easier said than done, due to his unfortunate medical condition. When Turk breaks his arm falling from a ceiling fan, Kelso demotes him to resident status and Dr Cox helps him to realise he knows a lot less about medicine than he'd thought. Elliot invites Keith to move in with her - but will he follow the house rules?

RT Choice (Claire Webb, 30 August)
Sacred Heart Hospital's been a little serious lately. At one stage it even looked like JD would transform himself from perennial loser to responsible boyfriend and father. Fear not: the no-hoper we know and love is back. Phew!

  • Episode 11/22 My Night to Remember

A look back over more than five seasons of pratfalls, laughter, tears - and an inordinate amount of dance numbers for a medical series. Helping a patient to regain his memory prompts the staff to recall their own ups and downs at Sacred Heart Hospital.

  • Episode 12/22 My Fishbowl

Private Brian Dancer is ready to be discharged from Sacred Heart but when the military informs him that his injuries have rendered him unfit for service, he sinks into a depression. • Episode 13/22 My Scrubs

JD and Turk look for a loophole in the system that will enable them to treat Dr Kelso's uninsured friend without the chief of medicine finding out. Meanwhile, the Janitor blackmails Carla over a canine case of mistaken identity, Dr Cox tries to convince Elliot that a reformed drug addict isn't quite what he seems, and the entire staff find themselves wearing dirt brown scrubs when Kelso suspects a clothing thief is in their midst.

RT Choice (Claire Webb, 13 September 2007)

Given that this series lacks the effortless absurdity of the earlier seasons, a scrub-less Scrubs seems appropriate. Happily, this episode sees a return to form.

  • Episode 14/22 My No Good Reason (Part 1)

Turk and Carla's new nanny is hot! But when JD and Turk host a screening of footage from the "nanny cam", they're found out by Carla. Laverne and Dr Cox debate whether "everything happens for a reason" - but tragedy cuts the argument short.

RT Choice (Claire Webb, 20 September 2007)

The absurd and surreal jokes come thick and fast, but the patients and staff of Sacred Heart hospital lack the will to carry on. Is that why the jokes are so flat?

  • Episode 15/22 My Long Goodbye (Part 2)

Laverne's in a coma, and the prognosis is bleak. Each of the staff deals with the situation in their own way. Elliot and Keith keep busy in the bedroom, JD and Turk resort to childish mischief and Carla goes into denial. And Jordan finds sabotaging Elliot and Keith's relationship strangely unsatisfying, so decides to help them out instead.

  • Episode 18/22 My Turf War

Scrubs Series six My Turf War © FOXWith Keith out of town, JD's looking forward to some quality time with Elliot. But he reckons without the arrival of her wild sorority sister Melody. Feeling left out, he plots to turn the girls against each other. Meanwhile, Turk and Dr Cox clash over a hypochondriac neither wants to deal with, and Carla discovers a ghost is haunting paediatrics.

  • Episode 19/22 My Cold Shower

Scrubs Series six My Cold Shower © FOXKeith agrees to propose to Elliot again, this time in a manner and setting meticulously planned by her. Meanwhile, the other men of Sacred Heart are taking cold showers - JD's been repeatedly turned down by Melody, Turk and Carla haven't slept together since the baby was born, and Kelso's internet connection is down… Back on the wards, Elliot and Carla are stumped by two elderly patients with the same symptoms but nothing else to connect them.

RT Choice (Mark Braxton, 25 October 2007)

Casualty writers take note: if you must have hospital relationship dramas, at least make them funny. A lovelorn JD can't help dwelling on Elliot's engagement (his incongruous Narnia fantasy is a mad highlight). As ever, the gag flow is more like a deluge, so just give into it and get drenched.

  • Episode 20/22 My Conventional Wisdom

Scrubs Series six My Conventional Wisdom © FOXAs Elliot begins to plan her wedding, JD continues to wonder if he still has feelings for her. To take his mind off the situation, Turk takes JD to a medical convention in Phoenix, but they unexpectedly run into JD's pregnant ex, Kim.
