Overview
Gritty Scottish crime drama, based on the "tartan noir" novels by Ian Rankin. There's more to Edinburgh than the castle, Holyrood Palace and Greyfriars Bobby. There's a side of the city that the tourists never see. DI John Rebus has spent most of his working life dealing with that hidden darkness. It's taken its toll - on his relationships and his health.
