Episode Guide

Series two

  • Episode 1/7 Reconstruction

The Cheyenne Government intervenes, bringing the battle between Jericho and New Bern to a halt. As the task of rebuilding his stricken town begins, Jake struggles to accept that Constantino won't face justice for his role in launching the attack - or for Johnston's death. Eric, however, is determined to see his father avenged. Meanwhile, Hawkins spots a familiar face among the Cheyenne troops.

RT Choice (Geoff Ellis, 16 May 2008)

The second run of the post-apocalypse drama mixes a battle for law and order, and a conspiracy thriller with a sentimental, small-town drama. It's trying to be multi-layered, but really it's just flakey old hokum. In a good way.

  • Episode 2/7 Condor

The new President comes to Jericho to make a speech. Chavez and Hawkins join forces and uncover a dark secret relating to the Cheyenne government. Jake contacts a journalist in an effort to make this incendiary information public. Gray feigns support of the new regime so that he can find out more about its intentions. Stanley and Mimi discuss their wedding plans.

  • Episode 3/7 Jennings and Rall

Jake and Eric struggle to accept Ravenwood leader Goetz as the new administrator of Jericho. The Hudson River Virus is decimating nearby towns - Dale gets his hands on the vaccine, but Goetz confiscates it, insisting that the illness doesn't pose a threat to Jericho. Hawkins is forced to face up to Beck when Jimmy reveals he's a government agent. Jake's past, including his military experiences in Iraq, comes to light.

  • Episode 4/7 Oversight

Hawkins receives a telephone call from his mysterious contact, warning him that he's in danger - Cheyenne are tracking the bomb. With Heather the sole civilian who has access to Beck's office, Hawkins and Jake are forced to fill her in on the truth about the nuclear attacks, even though it means putting her at risk. Meanwhile, Mimi discovers that somebody at Jennings and Rall is embezzling money.

RT Choice (Geoff Ellis, 6 June 2008)

The post-apocalypse drama is becoming more compelling in its final stages as events reflect real life in the US.

  • Episode 5/7 Termination for Cause

Unrest in New Bern demands Beck's attention, leaving Jake to contain the situation with Goetz. Knowing that Mimi is in mortal danger, the Rangers head to the hospital where she's undergoing surgery. The tension grows as Goetz's men assemble outside. Russell warns Heather that the New Bern resistance have sent him to kill her - but there is one way she can have her name removed from the hit list…

  • Episode 6/7 Sedition

Following Goetz's death, Beck is determined to show he's still in control of Jericho. Jake surrenders, hoping his sacrifice will ensure an amnesty for the Rangers, but comes under pressure to reveal where the others are hiding. Beck even threatens to withdraw power and food supplies from the town, hoping that's enough incentive to persuade someone to betray the Rangers. Meanwhile, Hawkins loses the nuclear bomb, which is now on its way to Cheyenne.

  • Episode 7/7 Patriots and Tyrants

Jake and Hawkins head to Cheyenne to find the nuke, intending to take it to Chavez in Texas. But Hawkins is badly injured in their attempt to retrieve the bomb. Back in Jericho, Heather persuades Beck to question the government he's working for. Meanwhile, Eric meets Constantino to discuss forming an alliance against Beck's army.
