Following his stint in Australia, Mickey has returned to credit-crunched London. And with Danny and Stacey still in the States following the Las Vegas caper, and Albert in jail, Mickey's looking to assemble a new crew. But while Ash might be the only remaining member of the gang on the outside, Albert can still be of use from his prison cell - he's found some tempting targets in the form of an obnoxious pair of property developers.

Two new con artists have joined the gang, and Mickey wants them to get stuck into a "long con". So he brings them in on a plan to con a pair of shady venture capitalists with a propensity to pinch other people's ideas. The unscrupulous couple have got their hands on a state-of-the-art security system that they intend to market by providing free security for a priceless painting.

Mickey poses as a journalist to con corrupt judge Sir Anthony Kent, who presided over a famous gold-bullion robbery trial in the nineties. Kent is thought to have been promised a share of the bounty in return for giving the robbers the minimum sentence, but the loot never came through. Now Mickey tells Kent that he has information that could lead him to his ill-gotten gains, but it comes at a very high price.

Mickey has been approached by Lennie, manager of a local youth centre for troubled teenagers. According to Lennie, local MP Rhona Christie has been acting behind the scenes for local developers and now the youth centre has been de-listed and marked for demolition. It's an unmissable opportunity for Mickey, who sets out to scam Rhona by posing as a billionaire property developer, with Emma as his wife. All goes well, until Sean realises Mickey and Emma are mixing business with pleasure.
