Episode 1/11 Four months later
Following the startling confrontation between Sylar and Peter, the heroes attempt to settle back into their ordinary lives, unaware that a new and deadly force is stalking them. Claire has moved with her family to LA, where her father urges her to keep a low profile. Hiro fetches up in feudal Japan where he meets his personal hero, warrior Takezo Kensei. Meanwhile, new heroes emerge, including brother and sister Alejandro and Maya, whose special talents can kill or cure.

Episode 2/11 Lizards
Peter befriends one of the Irish gangsters, and using his powers they manage to escape a violent attack. The Company sends Mohinder to persuade the infected Haitian to take the antivirus. Meanwhile, back in 1671, Hiro is attempting to alter the course of history and save the life of his hero Kensei's future lover by using his special gifts to disarm a group of bandits. Claire puts her regenerative powers to the test by cutting off her little toe to see if it will grow back.
RT Choice (Alison Graham, 1 May 2008)
If Heroes doesn't hurry up and get its act together soon, I shall bestow it with the title Dullest Show on Television. (Creator Tim Kring apologised for the series' slow start in the US last year, to give him his considerable due.)
The new Heroes continue to live in their own worlds, which means they don't mesh with the characters from series one, while Peter Petrelli, tied up and stripped to his glistening torso (stop squealing, teenage girls) gets roughed up by Irish hoodlums. -
Episode 3/11 Kindred
Maya is showing signs of exhaustion, so Alejandro tries to steal a car, but he's spotted by the police and arrested, while Maya manages to escape. Claire tearfully admits to West that she has extraordinary powers that make her feel isolated - his response is to pick her up in his arms and fly up into the sky with her. Sylar has been rescued, but his powers have disappeared, so he turns on his protector, believing her death will restore them.

Episode 4/11 The Kindness of Strangers
Micah grows closer to Monica as he helps her develop her special talents - which she unleashes with dramatic effect to foil a robbery at the burger restaurant. Continuing their journey to New York, Maya and Alejandro come upon a disorientated Sylar who decides to join them in their mission, but is soon back to his murderous ways. Matt puts Holly in jeopardy when he seeks her help in finding his father.
RT Choice (Alison Graham, 15 May 2008)
Things are gradually starting to pick up now - thankfully there are no dull visits to medieval Japan in this episode - as the Heroes start to flex their muscles and Sylar's menace grows.

Episode 5/11 Fight or Flight
A young woman called Elle comes looking for Peter, forcing him to go into hiding. When she fails to track him down, she turns on Ricky, who is trying to cover for Peter, and electrocutes him, using her special powers. With Nathan's help, Matt finally finds his father, Maury, in Philadelphia. But Maury escapes by sending Matt and Nathan into a dream state in which they experience disturbing visions.
-
Episode 6/11 The Line
Peter arrives in Montreal with Caitlin where a note from Adam warns him that the world is in danger. Back in LA, West uses his special powers to help Claire stand up to a bully and win her a place on the cheerleading squad. In Japan, matters come to a head between Hiro, Yaeko and Kensei when Kensei witnesses Hiro and Yaeko sharing a passionate kiss.
-
Episode 7/11 Out of Time
Peter and Caitlin get a terrifying insight into what the future may hold if the virus takes control. Elsewhere, Claire's efforts to conceal the truth fail and West discovers that her father is the man who kidnapped him. Mohinder, Nathan, Niki and Bob pool their extraordinary powers to fight the Nightmare Man. And in Japan, Hiro's adventures come to a dramatic close.
-
Episode 8/11 Four Months Ago...
This episode returns to the immediate aftermath of the events at Kirby Plaza (in series one finale How to Stop an Exploding Man) to reveal what took place between then and the beginning of this season. Peter is befriended by Bob and Elle and brought to the Company. But when Adam, an inmate in the cell next door, warns him he's in danger, the pair make a bid for freedom. Meanwhile, DL survives the shooting in Linderman's office, and Nathan recovers from the injuries he sustained following the explosion.
-
Episode 9/11 Cautionary Tales
Claire clashes with her father when he decides to move the family away to escape from the Company. Hiro is unable to accept his father's death so vows to travel back in time and track down his killer. Meanwhile, Mohinder, Bob and Elle are preparing for their deadly mission to California in pursuit of Claire's blood, but Elle has another sinister task in mind.
-
Episode 10/11 Truth & Consequences
Peter and Adam go in search of the mysterious woman in the Company group photo, but when they find her, the encounter turns deadly. Hiro discovers that Takezo Kensei and Adam are one and the same man. Claire receives a visit from Bob Bishop, who presents her with what he claims are her father's ashes. Sylar convinces Maya that she doesn't need Alejandro's help to control her power.
-
Episode 11/11 Powerless
Sylar and Maya finally arrive at Mohinder's house, but it's only when Sylar pulls a gun on Mohinder that Maya finally realises how evil he is. At Primatech, Adam has instructed Peter to use his powers to unlock the company vaults so he can destroy the virus, and nothing Hiro or Matt can do seems to shake Peter's belief that Adam is genuine. In New Orleans, Monica is assaulted by a thug and left for dead.
