Overview
The emergency room of Chicago's Cook County General Hospital is the frenetic hub of probably television's best-loved and most critically acclaimed medical drama. But ER's success is as much predicated on the soap-style traumas of its central characters as it is on the life-and-death situations and jargon-laden dialogue of the emergency room.
