The murders are just that little bit wackier in New York, where the CSI franchise opens its third outlet. Former marine Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) heads up the Big Apple's state-of-the-art crime lab, basing his investigative approach on the theory of quantum physicist Veneziano - everything is connected. The taciturn Taylor is aided by a dedicated team of forensic investigators, including uncompromising sidekick Detective Stella Bonasera, an orphan whose childhood experiences in "the system" have helped shape her strong sense of justice.
