Matthew Sweet explores music for films that reflect depictions of indigenous people worldwide. His selection this week is chosen to make the release of Disney's Polynesian-set animated adventure Moana, which tells the story of an seafaring teenage islander's quest to become a `master way-finder', with help from a legendary demi-god. Like its fellow Disney stablemates Frozen and Tangled, Moana features a variety of musical numbers, in a score provided by Broadway writer Lin-Manuel Miranda, veteran Hollywood composer Mark Mancina and native Samoa's musician Opetaia Foa'i.
