Summary

Former accountant Allen Carr smoked a hundred cigarettes a day before giving up in the early 1980s following a visit to a hypnotherapist. He then devised his own method for quitting and wrote The Easy Way to Stop Smoking, which became an international best-seller. John Waite looks at Carr's work 10 years on from his death from lung cancer and after helping millions quit cigarettes with his books and clinics.
